What makes the Acqua Alpes fragrances so unique is the crystal-clear mountain water that rises to the surface from the untouched depths of the Alps. We use this pure water as the core element for our fragrances, which makes them unique.
The clear mountain water has traveled a path of about two decades through numerous layers of rock before emerging. Through the many layers of rock, the water is not only Natural purified but also enriched with a wealth of minerals. The water, invigorated in this way, emerges from the Alps with a refreshing temperature of 4 degrees Celsius. The cool water naturally has an excellent drinking quality, with which not every expensive mineral water can compete.
Many locals therefore refer to the crystal-clear mountain water as "blue gold" to express the uniqueness and immense value of the natural water.
The Alps are the largest freshwater reservoir in Europe and, not least because of this, a particularly protected area. In winter, the mountains store water in the form of snow and ice, while in the warmer summer months, they gradually release the stored water – but only after it has slowly seeped through the many layers of rock over decades.
This slow yet very steady and ever-repeating process is the secret behind the clarity of the pure water: The layers of rock purify the water a little more with each layer and also impart their valuable minerals to the water.
The mountain water is the best example of the old wisdom, "what takes a long time, finally becomes good". Over its time in the Alps, the water is continuously refined so that at the source, it delights with its unique quality. We also want this unique quality for our fragrances. Due to its Light elevated pH value, the mountain water is an ideal carrier for our fragrance notes, as this allows the individual nuances to unfold particularly finely and elegantly. The clear water is the foundation for our fragrances and makes our creations masterpieces that are unlike any other because we are the first and only perfume manufacturer worldwide to use this incredibly valuable resource as the basis for our fragrances. Thanks to this noble base, we create enchantingly pure Acqua Alpes fragrances, whose harmonious notes and excellent quality are immediately recognizable even to a refined nose.
